At Arcadia Senior Living, we understand that pets are family. We welcome residents who wish to keep a pet in their apartment, provided that the following community guidelines are followed to ensure a safe, healthy, and pleasant environment for everyone.
All pets must be approved by the Arcadia Community Manager before moving in. Approval helps us ensure that pets are suitable for our community environment.
Pets are welcome inside your apartment home. When outside your apartment, pets must be directly on their way to or from designated outdoor areas. For health and safety reasons, pets are not allowed in any areas where food is prepared or served, including dining rooms and kitchens.
When outside your apartment, pets must be on a leash or in a secure carrier at all times and must remain under your control.
Pets should not disturb neighbors or disrupt the peaceful environment of the community. Excessive noise, aggressive behavior, or repeated disturbances may lead to a review of pet privileges.
All pets must have up-to-date vaccinations as required by local laws and veterinary health standards. Pets should also receive regular flea and tick prevention treatments.
If a flea or tick infestation occurs in your apartment, treatment must be approved by the Community Manager and completed at the resident’s expense.
You are fully responsible for the daily care of your pet, including feeding, exercise, grooming, and cleaning up all waste. If at any point you are unable to care for your pet, you must arrange for alternate accommodations to ensure the animal’s well-being.
Residents are responsible for any damage or injury caused by their pets to individuals, apartments, or community property. You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold Arcadia Senior Living harmless for any costs, claims, or damages resulting from your pet.
Failure to comply with these guidelines may result in the termination of pet privileges or, if necessary, termination of the Residency Agreement, at the discretion of Arcadia Senior Living.
Service animals and support animals are not subject to this policy. They are protected by applicable laws and are always welcome.
The Community Manager reserves the right to evaluate each situation individually and make final determinations regarding pet approvals and policy enforcement.
